Immune Boosting Oil Recipe

Immune Boosting Oil Recipe / Comparable to Thieves (by YoungLiving)

This essential oil recipe is one of the best immune boosting, antiviral, anti bacterial, anti fungal, cold and flu (including strep, bronchitis and airborne bacteria) fighting essential oil blends available.

It makes a great household cleanser and disinfectant as well. It can also be used as a gargle for sore throat’s.

This oil was created from the historical account of four 15th century thieves in France who robbed the dead and dying during the black plague. They wore this oil blend to protect themselves from illness and as a result did not get sick. When captured they were offered a much lighter sentence in exchange for this secret recipe.

The 5 ingredients include:

1. Clove Essential Oil (Syzigium aromaticum)-promotes a healthy and strong immune response.

2. Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil (Cinnamomum zeylanicum)-supports the immune system, decreases inflammation, increases circulation and fights free radicals.

3. Eucalyptus Essential Oil (Eucalyptus radiata)-supports the immune system, anti-inflammatory, and improves respiratory circulation.

4. Rosemary Essential Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis)-is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties.

5. Lemon Essential Oil (Citrus limonum)-a powerful antioxidant, and has cleansing and purifying properties.

*** Alternatively the five oils can be purchased individually and you can make your own homemade thieves blend.

RECIPE:

2 drops Rosemary Oil

3 drops Eucalyptus Radiata

4 drops Cinnamon Bark Oil

7 drops Lemon Oil

8 drops Clove Bud Oil

***Please note: multiply this recipe x5 to make larger quantities. As indicated by picture above.

We commonly use five drops of thieves in our essential oil diffuser both in the Peace of Zen Acupuncture office and in our home as a antiviral, antibacterial and immune boosting formula. Breathing these oil blends is wonderful for opening the lungs and during cold and flu season.

This oil blend can also be applied to Acupressure points directly on the skin to enhance lung function, breathing and to treat colds and flu.

***Look for my next post as it will detail this topical protocol.
